The External Cell Antenna Kit is designed to improve cellular communications performance for remote power quality monitoring applications in utility and industrial environments. By providing your choice of two antenna configurations, the kit allows users to optimize signal strength based on installation conditions, enclosure limitations, and communication requirements. This flexibility helps improve remote connectivity and maintain dependable access to monitoring data in challenging field locations.
The 13.88-inch antenna option (included with the large kit) provides higher gain performance for installations requiring maximum communication range, while the compact 2.3-inch Phantom antenna (included with both kits) offers a low-profile alternative with field diversity technology utilizing both vertical and horizontal polarization. This design helps improve signal reliability in environments where orientation, obstructions, or enclosure placement may impact communications performance.
A magnetic NMO-style mounting base with a 12-foot RG58U cable provides flexible installation options and supports secure antenna placement for improved reception. The corrosion-resistant magnetic base includes a neoprene moisture seal and an SMA male connector for direct connection to the Bolt, Seeker, Seeker+, and Revolution recorder.

2.3” Phantom Antenna
Included in both the small and large kits, offers a field diversity design giving it both vertical and horizontal polarization, versus the large antenna which offers only vertical. Has 3 dBi gain in the cellular low band (824–894 MHz), 4.4 dBi gain in the cellular mid band (1850–1990 MHz). Uses an NMO mount and attaches to the included Magnetic Mount.
13.88” Antenna (Large Kit Only)
The large size provides the most gain and under ideal conditions provides the most communication range. It offers 4.9 dBi gain in the cellular low band (824–894 MHz), 5.9 dBi gain in the cellular mid band (1850–1990 MHz). Uses an NMO mount and attaches to the included Magnetic Mount.

Main features include a powerful 3-1/4″ 80 lb. pull magnetic base made from corrosion resistant material and a neoprene moisture seal. Connects to the Bolt, Seeker, Seeker+, or Revolution via a 12′ RG58U coax with SMA male connector.
