High-Speed Sampling and Supraharmonics Monitoring
The Seeker+ samples voltage at 1 MHz (16,666 samples/cycle) and current at 200 kHz (3,333 samples/cycle), giving engineers a level of resolution most handheld PQ recorders can’t match. Harmonic analysis extends to the 70th order for both voltage and current, with interharmonic groups measured at 5 Hz spacing and total interharmonic distortion (TID) calculated automatically.
Supraharmonic monitoring from 2 kHz to 150 kHz makes the Seeker+ especially well-suited for PV and solar sites, where inverter switching frequencies generate noise far outside the range traditional power quality monitors are built to see. With 200,000 waveform captures and IEEE-compliant disturbance triggering — including voltage sags, swells, and rapid voltage changes — no transient goes unrecorded. GPS timestamping accurate to 1 microsecond ensures events can be correlated precisely across multiple sites, even on different circuits or substations.
No-Setup Recording and Endless Cloud Streaming
The Seeker+ is designed to get out of its own way. Built-in circuit detection and automated current-range configuration mean the device sets itself up on connection — no manual range selection, no second trip back to the truck. Once it’s running, every PQ measurement is recorded at the highest available resolution from the very first cycle.
The Seeker+ streams continuously to PMI’s PQ Canvass for true 24/7 cloud streaming, capturing every PQ metric in real time while also maintaining 30 days of local capture at full resolution as a safeguard. With 32 GB of onboard storage and unlimited cloud storage through PQ Canvass, plus Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth Low Energy, and optional LTE cell communications, data is always accessible — whether you’re standing next to the unit or reviewing it from the office.
Compact, Rugged, and Built for the Field
At just 5.71″ long and weighing less than a pound, the Seeker+ is one of the most compact full-featured power quality recorders PMI has built, without giving up safety or durability. It’s rated to IEC 61010-1, 600V CAT IV, housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, and built to operate from -20°F to 135°F with shock and vibration tolerances suited for utility, industrial, and outdoor environments. A super capacitor provides 5 minutes of ride-through during power loss so recording continues uninterrupted through brief outages.
Every Seeker+ ships as a complete kit — recorder, 4-channel 12″ FCT, voltage cable, USB-C adapter and cable, mounting bracket, carrying case, and lanyard — with an RF antenna included on cell-equipped units, so it’s ready to deploy straight out of the case. And because every Seeker+ is Merlin™-optimized, the AI assistant built into PQ Canvass automatically reviews flicker, harmonics, sags, swells, and other disturbances, ranks them by severity, and can generate reports and customer-facing letters on demand — turning what used to take hours of analysis into minutes.
