Eagle 120 Overview
The Eagle 120 is PMI’s feature-packed receptacle power quality recorder. It has up to eight megabytes of memory, optional Bluetooth capabilities, and records 256 samples per cycle per channel. It’s important to note that you should only use the Eagle 120 indoors, and never plug a device into the Eagle that draws more than 15 amps.
What’s in the Box
Let’s take a look at exactly what comes in the Eagle 120 box. Inside, we have a product information card, a USB cable, and the unit itself. As you can see, the Eagle 120’s compact size and functions make it perfect for residential and commercial applications.
Physical Features
On the front face, you can see the 120-volt receptacle, which records the current of the plugged in device. Directly below that is an indicator light which shows the status of the Eagle.
On the back face is a 120-volt plug which records voltage, as well as voltage-to-neutral. Below the plug is the product label. Here, you can find the serial number, contact information for PMI, and safety information and ratings. And on the bottom of the device is the USB port.
Getting Started with Measuring
To begin measuring, simply plug the Eagle into your outlet and plug your device into the Eagle. In this case, we’ll plug in this laptop. You’ll first see the indicator light blink once every second when initializing. When it starts recording, it will change to one blink every five seconds.
Reviewing Data in ProVision
To review the recorded data or view the data live, simply plug the Eagle into the computer via USB. Notice that the indicator light stays solid when it is hooked to your PC. In ProVision, you’ll see the Eagle 120 appear, and now you’re ready to download and review the data.
Check out the product information card to register your product, view the user manual, download white papers, and the free ProVision software.
