Eagle 200 Meter Kit Overview
The Eagle 200 Meter Kit from PMI is an ultra-compact comprehensive solution for measuring power quality in nearly any single-phase application. This kit is specifically configured for investigating residential PQ problems without disrupting the customer’s service. Let’s have a look in the box.
What’s in the Box
When you open the box, you’ll see the included PMI soft case. This contains everything you need to get up and running, including the Eagle itself. You can find the serial number by reading the front label.
There are also labels for the USB port and for the current input, both of which are on top of the Eagle. Back on the front face, you’ll see where the common input and the two channels are labeled. The color-coded banana jacks are located on the bottom of the device.
If you flip the Eagle around, you’ll find a legend for the voltage channel inputs. You’ll also find details such as contact information for PMI and safety ratings.
Voltage Test Leads and Dolphin Clips
Next in the case, you’ll find a set of three voltage test leads. Either end of the leads can connect to the Eagle through the voltage inputs. Along with the leads, a set of dolphin clips is included. These attach to the opposite ends of the leads.
Installing the Eagle
When installing the Eagle, be sure to connect the channel one voltage last, as this will start the two-minute countdown before recording begins. The status indicator light will blink once every other second during the countdown. Once the countdown is over and the unit starts recording, the LED will blink once every six seconds.
Flexible CTs
Also in the case are the included two-channel 12-inch flexible CTs. These plug into the current input on the top of the Eagle. Align the plastic tab inside the port to the notch on the cable. Slide the cuff forward and turn to lock.
Viewing Recorded Data
To view the recorded data, connect via Bluetooth or the included USB cable. Connect the cable to your device the same way that you did the flexible CTs.
Product Registration
Finally, inside the box you’ll find your product registration card, which details how to register your product, view the operating manual and white papers, and download PMI’s free ProVision software.
